Dear ICF members, donors and friends,
We have heard from several of you in
response to my email about contributing to the victims of the
Haiti earthquake. I am overwhelmed by your generosity, though
not surprised. Our ICF members, donors and friends know the true
meaning of philanthropy and charity, and I thank you.
A few of you have pointed us to some other
organizations that are collecting donations for the victims in
Haiti and I want to pass those along to you in addition to the
ones I sent yesterday. As we hear of other organizations, we
will post them to our website. I encourage you to check back to
see ways you can help.
- Project Haiti – Sponsored by
the Saint Alphonsus Foundation,
Project Haiti contributes funds and has sent medical
missions to St. Damien’s Children’s Hospital in Haiti for
more than 15 years. 100 percent of contributions to the
Earthquake Relief Fund will go toward repairing the
hospital, providing much-needed medical supplies, food and
care for children in the hospital and at an orphanage in
Haiti.
- Habitat for Humanity –The
national office of Habitat for Humanity is also collecting
funds for victims of the earthquake. Donations can be made
by clicking
here.
Thank you again for your compassion to the
victims of this tragedy.
Sincerely,
Bob Hoover
President
Idaho Community Foundation
