Together Idaho

The Together Idaho philanthropic opportunity:

The Idaho Community Foundation now offers an exciting new opportunity that will help donors build a better Idaho.

Simply establish and fully fund an endowed ICF "Together Idaho" community fund for a minimum amount of $25,000, and ICF will give you $5,000 to make grants to nonprofits in your community.

Anyone can create a "Together Idaho" advised geographic field-of-interest fund that will benefit a specific community or geographic area within Idaho. Once the fund reaches a minimum of $25,000 (five years allowed to reach this amount), the fund becomes eligible, on a first-come-first-served basis to receive $5,000 to award to local nonprofit organizations.

Geographic field-of-interest funds specify particular communities and/or areas of interest -- such as social services, affordable housing, public education, performing arts or the environment -- to receive distributions of income from the fund.  This is an ideal way to give back to your community.

Application Criteria:
  • Minimum $25,000 in fund (may be 5-year pledge).
  • Fund Creator(s) must establish an advisory committee to recommend grant recipients.
  • A Fund Agreement must be completed, signed, notarized, and filed with ICF.

Incentive grants will be issued quarterly to qualifying organizations on a first-come-first-served basis.  The Idaho Community Foundation Board of Directors has committed to funding up to $20,000 in grants each year through 2011.
